Metric and imperial in everyday UK life
The UK officially uses metric for most purposes, but miles, pints, feet and stones still appear in road signs, pubs and body weight. A reliable converter helps with DIY measurements, recipes and travel.
Temperature conversion is not a simple multiply: °C to °F uses ×9/5 then +32. Length and mass use fixed factors (an inch is exactly 25.4 mm). Results are rounded for readability.
